It's that time of year...finals

Sorry I've been horrible about posting. It's just been really busy since it was Thanksgiving and ever since I've gotten back to school it's been cramming for finals. Thankfully I just have to survive next week and it'll be a (much needed) winter break. I honestly can't wait to relax and eat some good food. I know I'm gonna be stuffing myself with lots of fast food while I'm studying. Though miraculously I did manage to cook up some kimchi pancakes that, of course, ended up being way too thick. They still tasted good dipped in soy sauce though! Anyways, I promise there will be more frequent posts once my life stops being so hectic and stressful. Happy holidays!

21 Wishlist

I haven't been craving to go shopping for a while now, but I guess its been slowly building up since I checked my Forever 21 wishlist today and it was overflowing. I have a huge checklist in my head of all the things I need/want for the holidays, but it seems like even just my Forever 21 items would be more than enough.

This is a Food Filled Post

Sorry for the lack of updates. It's been so busy it's crazy. I feel like I need any of these (look above) just to get through the day. But on the other hand, I am really excited for the holidays! Even though I'm broke as hell and I have no clue how I'm going to get presents for family and friends. Anyways, I've gotten a new camera hence the many food pictures.

Pot roast and clam chowder

Korean bbq

Garlic teriyaki beef with potato salad and fried dumplings as appetizers

Rolls of course

Mini tiramisu cake for dessert

Matte Magenta

I've just realized that I have way too many nail polishes. I mean, I have a whole section dedicated just for my nail polishes (and trust me, it's hard to close). I've recently painted on the magenta one I bought at Forever 21. It's originally matte, but since I always put a top coat after I paint my nails it's not exactly matte anymore...

Always and Forever 21

I was recently on the Forever 21 website, and I always like to look at their "Shop by Outfit" section. There were four outfits which I loved how they were put together. It honestly made me want to buy each item of clothing from head to toe! I especially love the chunky magenta cardigan, the plaid romper (though usually I hate rompers), the long sweater, the sequined vest, and the Fifi Lapin sweater shirt. I've actually ordered a few things online...will share once they arrive.

A Little Bit Excessive

I always get into one of those moods where I really want to go shopping, but usually I don't have the means to. One of the best ways to get rid of it is to make a wishlist of all the things I want so I can grab them up the next time I can go shopping. I don't know if it's because I haven't gotten to go "fall shopping" yet, but I think I might have went a bit overboard. Though technically I can't afford 90% of what's pictured here. (*tear)

First column: Bastian Pumps, Yumas Boots.
Second column: Miu Miu Glitter Slingback Sandals, Steve Madden Stardom Flats, Christian Louboutin Leopard Ankle Boots.

Expensive Macaw

Judith Leiber Crystal-embellished parrot clutch

Am I crazy for wanting this? Haha, I can't help it! It's so adorable. Then again, in my dreams since it's about $6,000! Crazy, I know.

Strawberries + Chocolate

I've been so bad with updating, I know. After my most recent post, I pretty much had summer finals, went home for two weeks (my short summer break), came back to school, and so far it's my second week and I'm worn out. I haven't had much time in between to update my blog. To sort of celebrate coming back I decided to try my hand at making chocolate covered strawberries. I have to admit that it was a total success. Well, besides me not having wax paper and the chocolate freezing onto the plate. But it still tasted wonderful!

Probably not wedding appropiate

Seeing that I have a wedding to go to tomorrow, I decided I needed less "fierce" shoes and more of a classic, quiet pair. Even though it's the wedding reception and not the actual wedding, I thought some open-toed platforms would be more acceptable. (Plus they're way easier to walk in). But of course, I can't walk into anywhere without something else catching my eye.

I've been itching for a pair of leopard print ballet flats since forever, but I couldn't find any that fit all of my critera. (Simple, affordable, and comfortable). And these $16.99 Fiona Ballet Flats did just that. I literally wanted to slip them on and run out the door with them! Unfortunately I didn't get to purchase these since they didn't have my size in the store I was in (darn! And they were having a buy one get the second one half off sale too). But I am so rushing to the downtown store on Sunday.

Ketchup and Mustard

Photo from Jak & Jil Blog
I love this blog since it's great inspiration. Their snappy photos and quick updates never fail to interest me. It's currently making me lust over some bright shoes and bags. Though seeing that I have a wedding to go to this weekend I'm going to have to go for some more practical footwear.

Pattern mix up

Forever 21 shirt, skirt and jewelry, Urban Outfitters flats, and Vintage cardigan.

(I don't know why I'm making a weird face here, lol).

I sorta threw this outfit on without thinking, and surprisingly it worked. I usually don't mix patterns at all, but this is one of those exceptions I guess. And I know I said I would try to incorporate more silver jewelry into my outfits but I can't help reaching for the first gold thing I see.

Lazy reading days

I've had two midterms this week, and it was horrible. Luckily I only have class Monday through Wednesday so I spent the day winding down. I needed a new book to read so I bought "The Devil Wears Prada". Even though I heard about the book soon after the movie came out, I never planned to read it. But I'm glad I did since it was really good. I pretty much finished it in two days.

(Ignore the papers. They're study notes I was too lazy to clean up).

(My favorite book of all time is "The Time Traveler's Wife". I first read it 5 years ago before most people had even heard about it. The moment I finished the book I swore someone just had to make a movie out of it, haha. The heavier book is the last Harry Potter book which I read again for the third time. Of course, sandwiched in between, are some recent magazines).

Little Comforts

I just had to post this to say I need one of these in my life.

Sweaters and Stripes

I've been looking for the perfect striped sweater, and luckily (or maybe unluckily?) I found one that I want in both colors. I love how the thin stripes are situated. Plus its flowly shape is perfect without being too baggy. These are definitely going to be on my list of items to examine when I'm out window shopping.

BDG Boxy Stripe Pullover Sweater

Swarovski and Skulls

How fabulous is this Alexander McQueen Knuckle Duster Clutch? Seeing that it's $1,595 I can't believe it's already sold out! Though I have to admit if I had money lying around, I'd definitely snap this up.

Silver Update -- Bracelets

I can never get enough of bracelets. It was actually quite hard to find silver bracelets I liked, though I had to refrain myself from picking some fabulous gold ones. (I'm trying here, really).

Kerri Wilder Flower Cuff
Delicate and feminine, yet not too "middle school"

Pamela Love Talon Cuff
A bit eerie but the exact style of unique jewelry I love.

W&T by wear-and-tear Bracelets
Gray and silver is the perfect neutral combination.

Metal Studded Wrap Cuff
The look of stacked bracelets without all the clunk.

Python Studded Cuff-Triple Bracelet
A studded bracelet with snake print? Can't get any better than that.
