All that glitters

I've been on a nail polish spree these past few weeks. I'm usually pretty careful about my spending, but I've been dropping $9 on these babies without a single thought. Is it possible to be a nail polish whore? I mean, I have five polishes of various shades of one color! But I swear my recent purchases are a little more outside my comfort zone. The one I'm wearing right now is "Absinthe Makes The Heart" from Sephora by O.P.I. It's "smoky dark gray with green and iridescent glitter". I'm not a big fan of the color green, but since it's so dark with specks of glitter it's just too pretty not to love. The second one I bought is "Ocean Love Potion" also from Sephora by O.P.I. It's super pretty and definitely one of my favorite colors now. (You can find both of these on the Sephora website). One I haven't tried yet is "Hawaiian Orchid" by O.P.I. It's a light pink color with an iridescent sheen. I'm excited to try it.

I've been on the look out for the perfect chain necklace that I could wear practically everyday. I usually don't wear short necklaces but ever since seeing Taylor Jacobsen (from The Rachel Zoe Project) wear her famous sideways-cross necklace I've been intrigued. Of course I wanted something in gold since that's all I wear, and I wanted it to have one unique pendant. And I think I've found the perfect one from Nicole Richie's House of Harlow line! This Mini Key Necklace is amazing, and even better, it's only $48! A total steal compared to most celebrity/designer pieces. I would totally snatch this up right this minute if my bank account wasn't depleted from buying new books from the beginning of this quarter!

I said I would update more frequently

This three day weekend went by so fast! I can't even remember what I did to be honest. It was so hard getting up this morning at eight in the morning. It probably didn't help that this storm decided to arrive. I got soaked today even though I was standing under an eve. It's been really windy with lots of rain. Although randomly in the middle of the day it will get sunny. This is supposed to go on for the whole week! While it sucks being out in this kind of weather, it's always so relaxing being warm and curling up with a good book.

Hello 2010

It really doesn't feel like 2010, does it? It's funny how times flies as you get older. I had a relaxing, enjoyable winter break, though honestly it doesn't feel like I did much. Probably didn't help by the fact that I got sick for a week. Anyways, I'm back at school and I'm still getting used to waking up earlier than noon and getting less than eight hours of sleep everyday. I'm jealous of my few friends who are still on break! I'm still getting myself back on "school schedule". And though my apartment looks less messier than in these pictures, I will admit I haven't completely unpacked yet even though I arrived last week. Also I went shopping quite a few times when I got back so there were shopping bags on top of all the mess. I'm wearing one of my new purchases in these pictures! The Chinese Laundry heels that I scored for way cheap. I love a good deal.
